Tadpoles

Molly insisted that I took a picture of the tadpoles. We were given four tadpoles (from the Jurong Frog Farm) to keep to observe the growth. Spencer kept three days and Molly kept for a week. Ee Teng is taking care of them during this vacation.
The fish tank is provided by Molly. Thanks dear! =)

Best Group

I would say the BEST group award for Term 1 goes to Red group!

We are growing..

We are growing kangkong plants in class now. However, we are doing it the hydroponics way.

Hydroponics(From the Greek hydro, water, and ponos, energy) is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. Terrestrial plants may be grown with their roots in the mineral nutrient solution only or in an inert medium, such as perlite, gravel, mineral wool, or coconut husk. (Definition taken by Wikipedia).

We started growing on Tuesday and we can see the shoots today. We are very excited and hopefully we can harvest the vegetables at the end of the month.

Let's Jump

A short video taken at the Bullfrog Farm.

To Bullfrog Farm

We went on our first learning journey to the Jurong Bullfrog Farm on 3rd March. I believed it was very educational for the children. They learnt how to handle the bullfrogs and even had the opportunity to feed the bullfrogs. Our guide, Ms Chelsea, shared with us some facts about the bullfrogs.
Dahlia, Spencer and Timothy had the opportunity to hold the bullfrog. The rest of the children touched the bullfrogs....

We went to the mating pond. We were instructed to be quiet as we observed the bullfrogs.

The children fed the bullfrogs too.

The rain came down when we completed the outdoor activity. We knew it was going to rain as the frogs were croaking. The children then gathered indoor to complete the rest of the activity book.
After completing the activty book, we went indoor to watch a video. I saw the name card of the card. She is a Frog-o-logist.

A few children signed the guest book.

We managed to reach school only at about 4.40pm. A long day for all of us but it was definitely an educational trip.

Growing Kangkong

We are growing kangkong. Hopefully the results will be better than the ones we grew in the cups. Heheee!
We have left the seeds in the rooftop garden.
